Depending on the size of the solar system and the electricity generated, you may need a larger or smaller. The vast majority of solar systems in the US use 4mm PV cable. To successfully install these cables, you must connect the negative and positive cables of the strings to the main connector box provided by the solar manufacturer. Virtually all DC cables are used in external locations, such as rooftops or other areas where solar panels are placed. To prevent accidents, the positive and negative PV cables are separated.

1m long 4mm cable can handle up to 55amps.
